BBSI is currently recruiting for a Construction Supervisor for our local Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County. This position will work in the field as part of a great team to make a difference in the community. Check out the job details below, and submit your resume to apply!
At Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County (HFHLC), we are part of a global, nonprofit housing organization that works to eliminate substandard housing locally and worldwide and provide affordable homeownership opportunities for low-income households. We do this through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their lives.
Position Summary: As a Construction Supervisor, you will oversee construction projects, working closely with volunteers to ensure successful execution. Your role will involve managing teams, coordinating tasks, and maintaining safety standards. If you're passionate about construction, community engagement, and teamwork, this could be the position for you!
Responsibilities:
  • Allocate tasks to volunteer teams and ensure efficient project execution.
  • Supervise construction work, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
  • Provide guidance and support during construction tasks.
  • Manage CHRP projects (Critical Home Repair Program)
  • Work closely with project managers and assist with hands-on construction activities.
  • Ensure all job sites are OSHA approved.
  • Address any safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain understanding of local and state building codes.
Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Minimum of 3 years in construction supervision or related field.
  • Experience working with volunteers is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and guide diverse volunteer teams.
  • Proficiency in construction techniques and safety practices.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including email and word processing.
  • Basic mathematical aptitude to calculate building measurements quantities, etc.
